Kailyn Hooley is an interdisciplinary artist born and raised in Corbett, Oregon. Called north, they are currently living and working in Anchorage, Alaska. Hooley's body of work explores their own state of being and becoming as a person navigating an identity altering diagnosis. By reflecting on personal, familial, and geographical relationships they seek to challenge the historic and contemporary rhetoric of this diagnosis. In their practice, they tend to utilize photography, moving image, and printmaking methodologies.
